Studies and practical training

Studies and practical training

Would you like to gain your first practical experience in a company during your studies and earn money at the same time? Then start your Bachelor's or Master's degree in DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES with practical cooperation!

Since the winter semester 2022/23, we have been offering our Bachelor's degree course with practical cooperation with companies in the region, and since the winter semester 2023/24 we have also been offering our Master's degree course.

A degree course with practical cooperation offers you optimal opportunities to get to know the company during your studies within the accompanying practical phases and to gain additional practical experience from your studies in the company.

Block courses and longer semester periods also allow you to work regularly at the partner company during the semester.

Studying with practical cooperation

Explained in detail

The study program in practical cooperation corresponds to a dual study program without an IHK degree, i.e:

  • Companies offer Bachelor's or Master's students an employment contract for the duration of their studies.
  • The students are enrolled as full students in the DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES degree program and form a joint group with all students studying with and without practical cooperation.
  • Students with practical cooperation complete practical phases in the company:
    • during the lecture-free period,
    • during a semester of leave, if applicable,
    • on selected days during the lecture period,
    • or study part-time so that they can spend more time working in the company.
  • The content of the practical phases is defined by the company.
  • Students discuss the course of study and the course content to be chosen with the company.
  • Interdisciplinary digitization projects remain mandatory courses of study.
